First seen Mar 22, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study tests if pressing on specific points on the ear (auricular acupressure) can reduce confusion and agitation in preschool children when they wake up from adenoidectomy surgery. About 110 children aged 3 to 6 will be randomly assigned to receive either acupressure or a sham treatment. The goal is to see if this simple, non-drug method can make recovery smoother and less distressing.
