First seen Feb 16, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tests whether teaching new mothers a simple acupressure technique within two days of giving birth can help them breastfeed exclusively for six months or longer. About 360 mothers will either receive standard care or learn self-acupressure to practice at home. Researchers will track breastfeeding rates, confidence, and quality over a full year.
