First seen Mar 27, 2026 · Last updated Apr 09, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study aimed to see if showing hospital staff a real-time screen of their older patients' physical activity levels would change how staff think about and encourage movement. Researchers measured the daily steps and activity of 100 hospitalized adults aged 65+ before and after installing the screen. The goal was to understand if this simple tool could help keep older patients more active during their hospital stay.
