Can a simple screen get hospitalized seniors back on their feet?
NCT ID NCT06421246
Summary
This study tested whether showing hospital staff a real-time screen of patient activity levels could change how they encourage movement. Researchers measured the daily steps and activity of 100 older adults (65+) in a geriatric ward before and after introducing the screen. The goal was to see if this tool made staff more aware of patient mobility and led to patients being more active during their hospital stay.
