New active rehab could get young soccer players back on the field faster

NCT ID NCT07430072

First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study tests a new, active rehab program for 40 teen soccer players (ages 14-19) with low-grade stress fractures in the lower back. Instead of the usual 3-month break from all sports, this program uses pain and function to guide a gradual return to activity. The goal is to see if this approach is safe and helps players heal while staying active.
