New program aims to get seniors moving by tackling mental roadblocks
NCT ID NCT07176637
Summary
This study is testing a new 4-week group program designed to help sedentary adults aged 65 and over who experience low mood become more physically active. The program focuses on identifying and overcoming common mental hurdles and biases that make it hard to start being active, using ideas from behavioral economics. Researchers will compare this new approach to standard education about the health benefits of exercise to see which is more effective at increasing activity and improving mood.
