New study to uncover hidden hepatitis delta cases in High-Risk groups

Summary
This study aims to find out how many people with hepatitis B also have hepatitis delta, a more serious liver infection. Researchers will test 244 adults in hospitals, addiction clinics, and prisons in Bergamo, Italy, using a new method introduced in 2025. The goal is to get a clearer picture of how common delta hepatitis is in these groups and compare it to existing data.
