Charcoal treatment trial aims to shorten poisoning hospital stays
NCT ID NCT05471479
Summary
This study is testing whether giving activated charcoal quickly after a poisoning can help patients recover faster. It will compare 100 adults and children who get the charcoal treatment to those who receive standard supportive care only. The main goal is to see if the charcoal reduces time in the hospital and intensive care unit, and helps people get back to their normal daily activities.
