First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tests a gel (Ameluz®) combined with red light therapy to treat actinic keratosis, a common precancerous skin condition caused by sun damage. About 172 adults with 4 to 15 spots on their arms, legs, neck, or trunk will receive either the active gel or a placebo gel before light treatment. The goal is to see if the active gel clears more spots safely and effectively.
