First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tested a gel form of ACTH, a natural hormone, to treat non-infectious uveitis (eye inflammation). 28 adults with active inflammation received one of two doses of the gel as a shot under the skin. The goal was to see if it is safe and can reduce eye inflammation. The study did not aim to cure the disease, but to control it.
