NCT ID NCT06462391
First seen Jan 05, 2026
Summary
This study is testing a virtual group therapy called ACT-PM for people with severe premenstrual mood symptoms, such as PMDD or premenstrual worsening of depression or bipolar disorder. The goal is to see if the program is practical and acceptable to participants and therapists. If successful, it could lead to a larger study to determine if the therapy actually improves symptoms and quality of life.

What this could lead to
If this therapy works, it could offer a new, accessible option to help people with severe premenstrual mood symptoms manage their condition and improve quality of life.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early feasibility study with only 50 participants. It is not designed to prove effectiveness, and the therapy may not work for everyone. Virtual delivery may not suit all individuals.
