First seen Mar 15, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study tests if Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) can help 54 teenagers who struggle with both Social Anxiety Disorder and Oppositional Defiant Disorder. The therapy focuses on changing how teens handle difficult thoughts and feelings rather than fighting them. Researchers will measure changes in social fears, disruptive behavior, and aggression to see if ACT works for these overlapping issues.
