Head-to-Head stomach relief study seeks to crown a winner

NCT ID NCT07449689

Summary

This study aims to find out which of two existing medications, acotiamide or itopride, works better for easing the symptoms of functional dyspepsia—a condition that causes stomach pain, fullness, and discomfort after eating. About 368 adults with these symptoms will take one of the medications for four weeks while tracking their daily symptoms. The goal is to see if one drug provides noticeably better relief from meal-related digestive problems.
