NCT ID NCT07735169
First seen Jul 29, 2026 · Last updated Jul 30, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This 28-day study is testing whether a lotion containing ubiquinol, pomegranate peel extract, ceramides, and salicylic acid can improve acne lesions and skin comfort in adults with mild-to-moderate acne. Forty participants aged 18 to 40 will use the lotion daily alongside their usual acne treatment. Researchers will track changes in acne counts, skin quality, and tolerability at two and four weeks.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- a lotion containing panthenol, pomegranate peel extract, ceramides, salicylic acid, and Phylobioma (La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+M)
- What this could lead to
- If the lotion improves acne lesions and is well tolerated, it could offer a gentle add-on option for managing mild-to-moderate acne.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small, single-center study with no comparison group, so results may not apply broadly. Allergic reactions or skin irritation are possible.
