First seen Apr 30, 2026 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study looks at how two common acne antibiotics, Sarecycline and Doxycycline, change the bacteria in your gut and on your skin. Researchers will track 30 people with acne to see if these treatments increase antibiotic-resistant bacteria or alter the balance of fungi. The goal is to understand the broader effects of these drugs beyond just clearing pimples.
