Summary
This study tested whether a generic tretinoin gel works as well as the brand-name Retin-A Micro for treating acne. Over 1,000 people with mild to moderate acne used one of the gels or a placebo for several weeks. The goal was to see if the generic version reduces pimples and blackheads just as safely and effectively.
