Summary
This study tested whether a new generic version of a prescription acne gel works as well as the established brand-name product. Over 1,000 teenagers and adults with moderate acne used either the new gel, the brand-name gel, or a placebo gel for 12 weeks. Researchers measured changes in pimples and blackheads to see if the treatments were equally effective and safe.
