Could your acne pill be numbing your nose?

NCT ID NCT07309341

Summary

This study aims to find out if isotretinoin, a common medication for severe acne, affects a person's sense of smell. Researchers will test the smell ability of 54 adults with acne before they start the medication and again after at least four weeks of treatment. By comparing these results, the study hopes to understand if the drug's known drying side effects impact how well people can smell.
