Blood boost for knee surgery? study tests PRP in ACL repairs
NCT ID NCT07269522
Summary
This study aimed to find out if adding Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) to a common knee ligament surgery improves recovery. It compared two groups of 60 adults (aged 18-40) who had surgery for a torn ACL: one group received PRP with their hamstring graft, and the other did not. The goal was to see if PRP led to better knee stability, less pain, and improved function after surgery.
