Scientists probe hidden muscle shutdown after ACL tears

NCT ID NCT06945133

Summary

This study aims to understand why thigh muscles weaken after an ACL knee ligament tear. Researchers will measure electrical muscle activity in 90 adults with recent ACL injuries to see if the level of muscle 'shutdown' matches their physical exam results. The goal is to gather knowledge that could help improve future rehabilitation plans.
