Tourniquet training tested to turbocharge knee recovery
NCT ID NCT07043569
Summary
This study is testing if a special type of training can help people recover muscle strength faster after surgery to repair a torn knee ligament (ACL). The method involves light strength exercises while briefly restricting blood flow to the leg with a cuff. Researchers want to see if adding this to standard physical therapy helps patients regain muscle mass and knee function more effectively. The study is recruiting 30 adults in Germany who are starting outpatient rehab after their ACL surgery.
