Scientists track muscle timing in ACL recovery

NCT ID NCT07532980

First seen May 02, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study looks at how the thigh muscles (quadriceps and hamstrings) activate during everyday movements in people who have had ACL knee surgery. Researchers want to understand if there are lasting differences in muscle timing that could affect knee stability. The study involves 25 men aged 18-45 who are 6 months to 2 years post-surgery and have completed rehab. No new treatment is given—only measurements using muscle sensors.
