App-Based rehab aims to boost knee recovery after ACL surgery

NCT ID NCT07030764

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding a digital therapy app called DOCT'UP® to standard physical therapy helps people recover better after ACL knee surgery. The app provides home exercises that target a common problem called 'arthrogenic muscle inhibition' (AMI), where the thigh muscle doesn't activate properly even though it's healthy. Researchers will compare recovery in 448 adults who use the app plus standard rehab versus those who only do standard rehab.
