Mind over muscle? study probes Athletes' return from knee injury
NCT ID NCT07259083
Summary
This study aims to understand the connection between an athlete's mental readiness and their physical leg strength when deciding to return to sports after ACL reconstruction surgery. Researchers will measure leg muscle power and give a psychological questionnaire to 30 active adults who had surgery 1-4 years ago. The goal is to see if confidence and emotions about returning to play are linked to actual muscle recovery, which could help guide future rehab decisions.
