Mind over muscle? study probes hidden key to Athletes' comeback
NCT ID NCT07201597
Summary
This study aims to understand how an athlete's mental readiness and physical knee strength work together to determine if they can safely return to sports after ACL reconstruction surgery. Researchers will observe 52 male recreational athletes 6-12 months after their surgery, comparing those who pass physical return-to-sport tests to those who don't. The goal is to gather knowledge to help design better, more personalized recovery plans that consider both the body and the mind.
