First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study looked at 60 people aged 18-40 who had surgery for a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in the knee. Doctors compared standard hamstring-graft surgery with and without adding platelet-rich plasma (PRP), a substance made from the patient's own blood that may help healing. The goal was to see if PRP leads to better knee stability and function after recovery.
