New knee surgery graft under the microscope
NCT ID NCT07404046
Summary
This study aims to understand if a specific type of tendon graft, which includes a small piece of attached muscle, heals better after ACL knee reconstruction surgery compared to the standard tendon-only graft. Researchers will enroll 40 patients with ACL tears and randomly assign them to receive one of the two graft types. They will use MRI scans and knee stability tests over a year to see which graft integrates better with the bone and becomes stronger inside the knee joint.
