Summary
This study aims to find out if the antiviral drug aciclovir helps adults with HSV-2 meningitis get better faster. It will compare the drug against a placebo (inactive treatment) in 150 hospitalized patients. The main goal is to see if people taking the drug have fewer severe symptoms one week after starting treatment.
