Novartis tests new injection to heal damaged achilles tendons

NCT ID NCT05592990

Summary

This study tested whether a single injection of experimental particles called NGI226 could help heal painful Achilles tendons. Researchers compared the injection to a placebo in 45 people with chronic tendon pain that hadn't improved with standard treatments. The main goals were to check safety and see if the treatment could restore the tendon's strength and flexibility.
