First seen Mar 18, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This early study is testing a new, minimally invasive procedure to treat chronic Achilles tendon pain in adults who haven't found relief from other treatments. Doctors will inject a temporary blocking agent into specific blood vessels around the tendon to see if it safely reduces pain over a year. Ten participants will be followed for 12 months to measure pain levels and check for side effects.
