Rehab matches surgery for achilles tears, with fewer risks
NCT ID NCT07312097
Summary
This study tested whether a non-surgical rehab program works as well as surgery for a torn Achilles tendon. 44 adults with recent tears were randomly assigned to either surgery or a specific rehab plan. The results showed both groups recovered equally well in strength and function, but only the surgery group had wound complications.
