First seen Jan 19, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tested a new type of catheter (CymActive) designed to be more comfortable for men who need a catheter for a long time due to urinary retention. Six adult men with non-neurogenic urinary retention who had used a catheter for over four weeks took part. The goal was to see if the new catheter improved quality of life and reduced pain compared to standard catheters. The study was terminated early, so results are limited.
