First seen May 08, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether a single IV dose of an anticholinergic medication can prevent labor from stalling and reduce the need for C-sections in first-time mothers. About 200 women in active labor with ruptured membranes will receive the drug or placebo. The goal is to help more women achieve full dilation and deliver vaginally.
