Summary
After a lobectomy (removal of a lung lobe), patients often struggle with mucus buildup, shortness of breath, and reduced lung function. This trial compares two handheld devices—Acapella and Flutter—that use vibration and pressure to help clear airways. About 28 adults aged 35 to 54 who are stable after surgery will use one of the devices twice daily for a week. Researchers will measure changes in breathlessness, oxygen levels, and lung function to see which device works better.
