New pill tested for severe, stubborn hand rash

NCT ID NCT06283550

Summary

This study tested whether a pill called abrocitinib could help adults with moderate-to-severe chronic hand eczema that doesn't get better with standard steroid creams. Researchers compared the drug to a placebo (a pill with no medicine) in 82 participants to see if it reduced symptoms like redness, scaling, itching, and pain. The main goal was to see if the treatment was safe and effective at controlling this persistent skin condition.
