Doctors test direct lung treatment for debilitating fungal allergy

NCT ID NCT07362667

Summary

This study is observing whether a lung procedure is safe and effective for treating a condition called Allergic Bronchopulmonary Aspergillosis (ABPA). Doctors will use a thin tube (bronchoscope) to physically clear out thick mucus plugs from the airways and then spray an antifungal medicine directly onto the area. The goal is to see if this approach helps improve patients' symptoms, lung scans, and immune markers over 4 months and reduces future flare-ups.
