New pill tested to fight leading cause of vision loss
NCT ID NCT07330674
Summary
This is the first human study testing a new oral medication called ABF-101 for age-related macular degeneration (AMD), a leading cause of vision loss in older adults. The study will check if the drug is safe and how it moves through the body in 68 healthy volunteers and people with AMD. Researchers will give increasing doses to see how well the drug is tolerated before testing it in larger studies.
