Simple massage by loved ones eases digestive distress in palliative care
NCT ID NCT07244302
Summary
This study tested whether a simple abdominal massage, given by trained family caregivers, could help relieve constipation and other digestive symptoms in patients receiving palliative care. Over 7 days, researchers compared patients who received the massage twice daily to those who received standard care alone. The goal was to see if this non-drug approach could improve comfort and quality of life for these patients.
