Tech trial aims to give voice to kids with hearing loss

NCT ID NCT02998164

Summary

This study is testing whether adding special communication technology to regular speech therapy helps children who are deaf or hard of hearing develop better language skills. About 150 children with hearing loss and a language gap are participating. Half will use the technology along with their therapy, while the other half continues with their usual care, to see which approach works better over 24 weeks.
