First seen Apr 09, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study created a large database of abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) surgeries across 138 hospitals in North Texas. Researchers collected information from 394 patients aged 50 and older who had open or endovascular repair. The goal was to track survival, re-operation, and rupture rates to help hospitals improve quality of care. No new treatments were tested; instead, the registry provides data for future research and quality improvement.
