Can a simple Nurse-Led plan keep working for 9 years to stop hospital infections?

NCT ID NCT06893562

Summary

This study checked if a simple, nurse-led care plan for urinary catheters is still working to prevent infections and bladder problems nine years after it was first introduced. Researchers looked back at the medical records of 750 patients aged 65 and older who had hip fracture surgery to see if the plan was still being followed and if it was still effective. The goal is to see if good practices can last long-term to keep patients safer in the hospital.
