Could a 6-Month pill combo replace long TB treatment?

NCT ID NCT07198685

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study compares a 6-month all-oral drug regimen to the standard long treatment for people with rifampin-resistant tuberculosis. About 52 adults in China will take either the short combo (bedaquiline, delamanid, linezolid, levofloxacin) or the usual long course. The goal is to see if the shorter treatment works just as well and is safe enough to become the new standard.
