Summary

This study tests whether a special form of folic acid (5-MTHF) is safe and beneficial for breastfeeding mothers and their infants. Thirty-six mother-baby pairs will receive either the supplement or a placebo for 6 weeks. Researchers will measure changes in breast milk and blood nutrients, as well as maternal mood and baby growth. The goal is to understand how this supplement affects the health of both mom and child during lactation.
