First seen Mar 06, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study gives healthy adults a single intravenous dose of 5-MeO-DMT (a fast-acting psychedelic) or a placebo to measure its short-term effects on mood, heart rate, and blood levels. Participants are randomly assigned and don't know which they receive. The goal is to understand safety and how the drug works in the body, not to treat any disease.
