Starch powder may cut hospital stays after neck surgery

NCT ID NCT07487636

First seen Mar 26, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study tests a powder made from plant starch, called 4DryField PH, to see if it reduces bleeding and the time patients need a surgical drain after head and neck operations. About 60 adults who are not on blood thinners and have no bleeding disorders will take part. Half will get the powder during surgery, and the other half will get standard care. The main goal is to measure how much fluid drains and how long the drain stays in.
