New 3D scan could offer simpler test for troubled breathing

NCT ID NCT05339698

Summary

This study is testing a new, non-invasive 3D scanning method to measure how well a person's diaphragm muscle works during breathing. It involves taking two quick 3D pictures of a person's chest and abdomen while they hold their breath. The goal is to see if this scan is as accurate as standard breathing tests and if it can reliably be used by different medical staff to help diagnose diaphragm weakness.
