3D printing vs. milling: which makes a better custom jaw plate?
NCT ID NCT07344441
Summary
This study aims to compare the accuracy of two different manufacturing methods for creating custom titanium plates used in jaw and chin surgery. It will involve 26 patients who need corrective jaw surgery. Researchers will measure how closely the final surgical result matches the pre-operative plan when using 3D printed plates versus traditionally milled plates.
