NCT ID NCT04326335
First seen Jun 16, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 16, 2026
Summary
This study tested whether using a 3D printed stoma button before surgery helps people feel better about their ostomy. 50 adults having their first temporary ileostomy were split into two groups: one got a 3D printed button placed on their abdomen, the other got standard felt-tip marking. Researchers measured quality of life after surgery using a special questionnaire. The goal was to see if the 3D button reduces anxiety and improves daily life.
