3D-Printed limbs put to the test: could custom tech transform amputee mobility?

NCT ID NCT07329738

Summary

This study is testing whether a portable 3D printer can create comfortable, functional prosthetic legs for people with below-knee amputations. Eight participants will wear their usual prosthesis for three weeks, then switch to a custom 3D-printed version for another three weeks. Researchers will remotely compare how well each leg performs in daily activities like walking, balance, and comfort.
