3D-Printed jaw guides help surgeons restore Patients' faces
NCT ID NCT07365085
Summary
This study tested two types of 3D-printed surgical guides to help rebuild patients' lower jaws after tumor removal. Surgeons compared a complete jaw model against a segmented approach that pieces together bone from the leg. Both methods worked well, but the segmented guides produced more consistent facial symmetry results across patients.
