3D-Printed guides aim to make hip replacements last longer
NCT ID NCT03072706
Summary
This study tested whether a custom 3D-printed surgical guide helps surgeons position the hip socket implant more accurately during hip replacement surgery. The guide is made from a patient's CT scan and X-rays. Researchers compared this new method to the standard technique, hoping more accurate placement will reduce complications and make the new hip last longer.
